BCD436HP/BCD536HP: Programming AAR Channels 307 -488

I have two question about programming a BCDx36DN upgraded to NXDN for AAR channels 307 to 488. When the channels are imported into a Favorites List from the RRDB in Sentinel the Modulation is set to “Auto” and Audio Option is set to “Digital Code Search”. Are there better settings? Should Modulation be tweaked to “NFM”? Is there a better setting for Audio Option, such as “NXDN Area 1 or Area 0” or “NXDN RAN 0 or RAN?”. I’ve read than RAN 0 is supposed to open the squelch to all NXDN transmission but Uniden implements NXDN RAN 0 as a discreet RAN just like RAN 1, 2, 3, etc. Thoughts?

For 1 there is no such animal your post states BCD436HP BCD536HP and your 1st post states BCDx36DN.
It looks like you are talking about the BCD436HP. The x36HP's will do NXDN for RR you would be better off with the BCDx60DN scanner for RR as it scans faster and is more sensitive and is better suited for RR.

If you are going to use the BCD536HP for NXDN Railroad I would suggest going to the RR area and doing a limit search like 160.00 to 162.00 and see what they are using then you can program the 536 correctly. None of my RR's near me have switched yet so I have not seen what they are doing.
