Programming an EDACS System

Ok first of all Im a total newbie to scanners and such, but have been learning quickly. I have a Uniden BCD996XT and programming it with FreeScan. I havent had any problems with setting up conventional frequencies. But Im having a hard time understanding how to program Trunked systems. The city Im in uses an EDACS system for almost everything public. I managed to program the Site with the trunking frequecies and it works, but it picks up every radio signal in the entire city (public works, maintenance, Zoo?, etc). How can I narrow this down to just the ones that I want to listen to? I tried to setup a group with the IDs, but it doesnt seem to do anything.

You're probably in "Search" and not "Scan". Just program the Talkgroups that you want into FreeSCAN and sent to the scanner.
