Hello All,

Is there a way to program a "4 digit" AM frequency into the scanning portion of the radio that I'm missing? I'm attempting to program some CALFIRE "Victor" frequencies.

I have the programming software and when I attempt to write something like 159.4725 or 158.7375, the software will round the frequency off to the next higher number; i.e....program...159.4725. result...159.475.

This is regardless of which TS I use, AM or FM mode. It will however, permit a frequency like 151.1375 to be written without any problem!

Any help would be most gratefully received!

Well, first of all, it's a two way radio intended for amateur service, not a scanner, so the firmware supports only the steps the radio is capable of transmitting. This step configuration also applies to the extended receive ranges the radio can handle. The reason the display will go to 15x.1375 is because that freq falls within the 12.5 steps based on 25 khz and 30 khz separations in the band plans, which is what the firmware supports. The micro firmware doesn't support the 6.25 steps, so unless the freq happens to coincide with one of the steps that is within the firmware parameters, the micro wont accept it as is. If it doesn't match, it just rounds the frequency up or down to the next supported parameter.
