Cleveland county. Psr 800 from what I understand from the seller it was upgraded by Whistler. I can barely hear anything. Not much traffic. How do I add CB radio and Ham radio.
Hold the MENU button while turning on the scanner. If the Boot Version is 2.0, you have the official upgrade. The latest firmware version is 4.8. Press MENU again to exit. Do not use EZ Scan to update the firmware if the Boot Version is not 2.0. If the Boot Version is 2.0 and the firmware version is 4.8, there is no reason to update the firmware using the standalone updater. If you want help with programming, we need to know your city or town to determine the best sites to use.

You have the official upgrade with the latest firmware update. The WS1080 and similar scanners normally scan only a single site at a time for a trunked system. The file I am working on will allow you to choose one or any combination of the 2 sites for the OKWIN system, the 3 sites for the OMACS system, the Norman system, and the OK City Metro PS system. You will be able to select sites and systems using the Scan Sets and talkgroups using the Scan Lists. I have completed the CSV files I need for the talkgroups. I only need to import them into the systems and enter the frequencies for the sites. Now, I am working on the conventional frequencies. I have the frequencies for CB, GMRS, FRS, MURS, amateur radio repeaters, and OKC Intl Airport ATC in an Excel worksheet. I need to finish organizing them and converting them to a CSV file to import them into the software. I have all of the talkgroups for the OKWIN system, Cleveland County, McClain County, and Oklahoma City. If there anything else you need?

I am already working on many of the things you mentioned. I have the trunked system programming complete. Give this file a try while I am working on the conventional frequencies. I am also working on a file which will show you everything in the scanner and explain how to access it.

Yes! Use the WS1080/WS1088 EZ Scan software. If you have a weak signal on the trunked systems, I suggest you try a Remtronix REM-800B antenna. The original antenna is not all that great.

Is there any other software besides what Whistler offers to program my radio? I really don't like the interface of the Whistler software

One of the reasons why I'm a Uniden user, more software choices. Kind of like Apple vs PC
LOL. I think the user interface of GRE are better than Uniden. Luckily we had Don Starr's software to program them. No comparison to Uniden.
