SDS100/SDS200: Programming the SDS 200

Neither do I but we were told by UPMan before he passed away the Priorities and Trunking on Uniden Scanners was not a good mix.

I noticed that when the SDS 200 sometimes the signal bar blinks on and off and where the talkgroups are blinks too then it does right are they a setting I'm missing

Are you scanning a trunked system and are is there more than one site set to scan?

Priority will cause this as it will leave the system you are on to check the priority channel.

It only checks Priority on the system it's on and doesn't cause the issue he's seeing.

I am talking about conventional priority, and it will indeed do what OP is describing.

What I was trying to say was I have 3 talkgroups can those be put like tg 1 tg 2 and tg 3 while using priority id scan 1 before 2 and 2 before 3 something like that

When you Write to Scanner, are Download and Monitor both enabled for the favorites list? Download sends the favorites list to the scanner. Monitor enables it to scan.

I checked the set scan selection and the full database was on and my favorites list is on will that cause it

If the full database is on, you probably will not hear much from the favorites lists programmed. Turn off the full database and see if you can hear the favorites lists.

Did you check all of the priority settings? (Close Call, Weather Priority, Priority Scan, etc). Each of these can cause transmissions to be interrupted

Turn off location control for the favorites list. If latitude and longitude are both zero, the favorites list will be received only in the Gulf of Guinea off the west coast of Africa.

The system I'm getting is 47 miles it has 15 frequencies I get the control channel is 853.8625 and has 5 signal bars and a few other frequencies but some frequencies like 851 and 852 has one to no bars then 854 and 859 has 5 bars is it the sds 200 are is that the trunking system for that county

Hi, I finally got tired of my Whistlers and bought an SDS 200. But, when I program NJICS Monmouth Site and Toll roads into it all the sites are loaded. What am I doing wrong? Thanks.

I don't think the SDS 200 likes 851 and 852MHz I tried another county system just to test and I compared BCD996P2 and SDS 200 the 996p2 at 851.775 had 5 bars and the SDS 200 had 2 bars and the sdr is off
