Enter the control channels of the sites you want to scan. Click on the System Frequencies tab in the upper right, then enter the frequencies.

The talkgroups you have programmed probably don't see much action. You probably will not be able to hear Chester Fire unless you are able to receive the Chester County Simulcast site. Do you have an interest in Chester County? Please attach your Win500 programming file so we can take a look at it. You will need to zip the file to be able to attach it. Click on Attach files and open the zipped file.

Give this file a try. Save the attached zipped file to your computer and extract. Open the extracted file with Win500. Connect your computer and scanner with the programming cable. Go to the Scanner tab and click on Upload to Scanner. Scan lists 1 thru 7 use the Palmetto 800 trunked system. Scan lists 8 thru 12 are conventional frequencies. Scan lists as follows:

SCAN LISTS:
1. State Interop
2. State Emerg Ops
3. SCDOT/Hwy Patrol
4. UnionCo Fire/EMS
5. UnionCo Law
6. ChestCo Fire/EMS
7. ChestCo Law
8. UnCo Misc Conv
9. UnCo FD/EMS Conv
10. UnCo Law Conv
11. ChCo FD/EMS Conv
12. ChCo Law Conv

If you have only 5 talkgroups, you did not load my file. The file has all of the talkgroups for Union and Chester Counties as well as the talkgroups for state interop, state emergency ops, state DOT, and SC Highway Patrol on the Palmetto 800 system. It also has all of the conventional frequencies for Union and Chester Counties. There are 125 talkgroups and 47 conventional frequencies. There are 2 systems, one for Union County and one for Chester Co

I need help understanding the conventional priority it has conv check each pass check at 0 and priority interval at 20 should those like they are and the second question is in the easier to read manual it says set in-band sq timeout to 5 or 7 should that be changed

Will the Pro-197 programming cable fit the Pro-96
The PRO-96 will not work with either the Palmetto 800 Chester County Simulcast site in Chester County or the Tinker Creek site in Union County. It cannot trunk track 700 MHz frequencies.

Radio Shack Pro-18 & GRE PSR-800, both released in 2011. You'd need to ship the Pro-18 out to Whistler to receive the Phase-II fw update, (WOU). Not sure if they'd still do that since they're apparently under new ownership now...
