PSERN Silent

I updated the firmware for my BCD536HP and now PSERN (i.e. Seattle Police/Fire) is silent with nothing being picked up. It's scanning the sites but not finding anything. All Services are ON. Anyone have any tips?

Based upon the limited information you provided, I would venture a guess that your scanner is searching on [the now defunct] KCERS and not PSERN -- which is a completely different system.

Thanks for your reply. I have the latest frequencies updated with PSERN (instead of KCERS) and had been hearing it fine last week before the firmware update. Let me know if there is any additional information that would be helpful.

What firmware version does Sentinel show your 536 now? Did you try to simply reload the programming to the scanner? Be sure to check Delete all favorites list (that first option) when writing to the scanner.

Does anything else work? e.g. Can you receive NOAA Wx on 162.55?

What antenna are you using?

Welcome to the RR forums. Did you program via Sentinel? If you lost signal altogether you may be missing the current active control channel. Ensure you have them all programmed in

Just closing this out - thanks for the tips all. I rebuilt all of my favorites lists from scratch and it resolved the issue. I must have lost some active control channels at some point. Thanks again.
