PSR-410 flashes at power up; normal?

Hi all,

I just picked up a PSR-410. It looks like it’s in great shape, but when I turn it on, the backlights flash once as soon as it gets power, then come back on again when the scanner goes through startup. Is that normal behavior?

I would say yes. I have several of the PSR-410's bigger brother, the PSR-600, and they all do that. A very brief flash at power-on, followed almost immediately by steady on throughout boot sequence and scanning.

I’m not going to lie; it scared me for a second when I first turned it on because the thing was so bright when it flashed. I thought I had fried something.
