You're not even close. Speculation is dangerous. It's kinda like me speculating you know what you're talking about.

Its just an ASR site for Pierce Transit to cover their Sound Transit contract runs to Seattle. Pierce County is also on that core. Beyond that is pure scannerizer misinformation.

I am not clear as to whether this is associated with the current discussion?

The recent convo was about a different system than the thread topic. I mentioned this in my reply on my 6-16 post.

These two systems are completely different. Pierce county is doing their own thing.

I've got the West Seattle site in my Radioshack Pro106.. So far, just picking up the tallkgroups listed on the above page.

Stavro, see if you can pick up any other sites from your location. You might be able to pick up the Tacoma site.

The TGIDs are pretty limited as it's just Pierce County Transit using the system. I've seen some wierd higher TGIDs but never any voice. So probably just some testing going on across the system.

The one missing TGID is 17 -- which appears to be a PCT Supervisor channel.

nick, I'll give it a try and see what happens. I don't have that system in my 500, my every day,out the door i go, radio. Just my Pro106, for now. I wish King county metro transit would have gone to a monitorable system. Well, one that I could monitor with one of my radios.

I am aware. I should have stated, I wish at least one of my radios was phase II capable. I don't NEED a phase II radio right now. But I'll get one someday.

The system isn't Phase 2. It's X2-TDMA. If you trade your 106 in for a PSR800 then you get the best of both worlds.

KC Metro is X2. Pierce is Phase II. Tophat is a King County owned facility with a PT site.

Just so I'm clear, who's supposed to be joining this system? Right now, it just appears to be in use by Pierce county transit. I'm monitoring the system from my Radioshack pro106 here in Bainbridge island Washington.

PSERN will replace the current King County Public Safety system

He was asking about the South Sound 911 system.

Stavro, there will be TWO systems. One in King and one in Pierce. The Pierce system (South Sound 911) is being implemented albeit slowly and will eventually become Phase 2 P25 -- which means you'll need a new scanner to monitor that system. Pierce Transit (since it's county-run) will be a customer of that system.

AFAIK, the King system will be P25 but not sure if it'll be Phase 1 or 2. The King system is still in the early planning stages.

All clear?
