Hello Group - is there a way to use distance to trim the results from an RR db search more specifically than by County? I did a search for my area for all non-digital stations below 512 MHz (only interested in those frequencies at this time mostly because of cost), and unfortunately my search still has ~1750 listings. The radios in my price range only store a few hundred frequencies. I know I can manually trim the existing list, but I was hoping a more detailed "proximity" type search might be available (because station listings often are vague as to actual location). Also I know that SDR dongles are a cheaper option, unfortunately I don't have a laptop I can use for this purpose, and I was hoping for a portable radio. And also the relatively slow scanning speed that SDR dongles have also make it not really useful to me.

Thanks to all

There is no way to search the database for only frequencies you are interested in hearing. You need to manually eliminate vague or frequencies still licensed but no longer used yourself and by listening.

There's no way to do a limit frequency search either. Closest you can come to it is by navigating to your county's RRDB page then clicking "All Identified Frequencies" By default frequencies will be sorted numerically but there's no way to weed out all frequencies above a user defined upper limit

As a RR premium subscriber you have access to the FCC Data Query Search which offers a proximity license search towards the bottom of the page at which you can plug in GPS coordinates and a range of 4 miles or less. This will return FCC licenses but not confirmed RRDB data

Actually I think cross referencing the FCC search with the RR db search gives me a manageable list at least to start. Thanks!
