After reading all the "reviews" on here about said antenna I decided a couple of weeks ago to purchase the OmniX antenna, I just put it up last week so I will have to see how good it is on my end.

I have it 25 feet off the ground with a 50 foot run of RG8X coax hooked up to a Uniden BCT15X, my main use for it is the MilAir and civilian air bands. But I also dabble in other bands as well.

When you compare you have to remember that the antenna isn't symmetrical, it will receive differently from different directions, so after a week or so you should twist the antenna 90 degree and compare some more. Perhaps there's an airport nearby that you would like to receive the best and then it could matter how the antenna are directed.

I need to rotate my Omni-X too. Having a roof put on in a few weeks and I'll do it afterward. It does work very well.
