Hey Chris,
That TR you are hearing si supposed to be QR1-8 and QR1-9. Those are the two trucks that oversee runs by the ambulances in Putnam County. QR1-8/QR1-9 are at Station 1 in Palatka. They are quick response trucks they have a captain and couple of other personnel on them. As far as ALS or BLS that is the rescue units in Putnam County.
ALS= Advanced Life Support
BLS= Basic Life Support
I have heard that they still have the 9 ambulances in Putnam County. But they changed the numering scheme. Instead of Rescue 1-9, they use ALS or BLS and the fire district numbers.
So if you hear Station 3, ALS 3 thats the Cresent City FD, and formerly Rescue 3. Also if you hear Station 24, ALS 20 that is the Melrose FD and formerly Rescue 7. You will probably also hear ALS 20 get a mutual aid request for Clay County they assist with our county when there are no rescues available in the county to come to this area.
