From a good source of that, the renir is not ready to support encryted tx from everywhere. ... So, nothing must move before 2 or 3 years

Thanks but I think your source need to doublecheck their info ;)

There are already encrypted units on th RENIR ... (groups 10xx and up)

I'm in New Liskeard, ON and I get a control of 153.185 and an SID of 014Fh-0203... Does anyone have any information on site 203 on the RENIR system? Or is this a Hydro Quebec control? It says it's a MOT P25 system yet the control doesn't sound like your average MOT control. The closest site to me is site 245 Lac Rocher with a control of 153.695... Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi

It is south of Ville-Marie, Quebec. Just feed the info in the DB please take a look site 203 and 264 at RENIR Trunking System, Provincewide, Quebec - Scanner Frequencies

Please Abitibi area listeners, be aware that the RENIR sites are being put on the air in your area. Take a look at the whole 138-174 MHz VHF band and look for a CC that would identified a system as 014Fh-02xx and please feed it thru the DB contribution system.

If your are using Pro96Com software on a GRE PSR500 or 600 or a Uniden 'XT (396 or 996) radio please provide neighbor sites as well.

Contact me thru PM if necessary ...

Thanks

I would love to provide any info I can but unfortunately I cannot get any of the trunking software to work. I've tried Trunk88, Unitrunker and pro96com to no avail...

I have a BCD396XT so there should be no problems with any of this software. I could never get it to work. There just seems to be an issue with it running in Win 7. I know it's not my cable because I've never had issues with Freescan for programming.

Please disregard my last post.. After many hours of scratching my head, I finally got Pro96Com to work. I'll set it to gather data today while I'm out and will have something by tonight.

Sent all the info I gathered today in to RR. Should see it on there soon. In the mean time, I'll continue to dump info. Also today while searching, I found a data frequency of 461.8375. Through the power of the RR forum, my mystery was solved. It's part of the Quebec Gov't MDT system that is somehow tied into RENIR. Thanks to DaveH for his input and clarification.

Ok it takes somehow a few hours before it appears in the DB inbox, so it will be treated when available to me.

For the data part, I've posted an explanation in your original post in the Ontario forum. reply.

Thanks

RENIR in Mtl area?

i've tried plugging in the RENIR system for the MTL area..

site 256 MtRoyal
site 258 Ville Marie Tunnel
site 259 Covey Hill
site 260 Rigaud

i'm using a PRO96...
on all 3 sites EXCEPT 258 Ville Marie Tunnel i pick up the control channel noise, it shows me

96 - - - - - 78%
i'm getting the 96 to show it's a 9600 baud system and 70%-85% rate but NO system ID or T/G's

and nothing for the Ville Marie..(i'm in Dorval, south of the airport between 55th & Dorval ave) shouldn't i be getting a system id on my screen? or is the system not in use out here yet??

thanks for any imput...

Don't expect anything from the V-M and both LHL tunnels unless you are INSIDE these. They are very low power transmitter and not available until you get inside.

As for the TG's everything is encrypted except TG's 501 and 5001.

Take a look at the DB and the column called "mode". If it's an "E", it's encrypted and they're all going that way.

I noticed that the info is already up on the RENIR page. After 3 days of data dumping, there's no activity at all on the RENIR system up here as of yet. I'll keep at it until I can get some good data to post here.

You're right for the alt Ch for site 203, but, what's missing are the control channels of the 2 neighbor sites you sent me (site 239 and 243). With the CC I will be able to add these two NEW sites

Thanks for sending them again

Looking at the new info on where the sites are, I'll see what i can do about getting info on the Kipawa (site 243) tower. The next time I visit my brother, I'll make sure to bring my equipment with me.
