I have a question and to see if it is a good idea or not?? But if there is a better idea to help maybe u can help me with it. I own a Uniden Bearcat BCD996XT Scanner Uniden Bearcat BCD996XT Police Scanner Radio and I have the WBD-40 Discone Base Antenna WBD-40 Discone Base Antenna I have a few systems in my scanner and in the area that are on Trunking System and now what I want to know is. I was told to hear certain Trunking systems I need to set my radio Squelch to a setting of a 1 or 2 maybe even a 3. If I set it in any Higher it will not stop on a system to hear active. I was wondering if it will be a good idea to put in all the Location Info for the following systems. If someone from PA and NJ could give all the Location info like Latitude, Longitude, Range aka Miles plus also if these for Latitude will be North or South and for Longitude East or West for these systems. Maybe this will help me hear the system better and then I can turn up my squelch up a little higher and it will still stop on those system with all that Location info add.

4) Lehigh University Lehigh University Trunking System, Bethlehem, Pennsylvania - Scanner Frequencies
5) MET-ED System #1 and System # 2 First Energy (FELHC) Trunking System, Various, Pennsylvania - Scanner Frequencies << they have plant & trucks in Easton,PA.
6) NJSP (North System) New Jersey State Police Trunking System, Statewide, New Jersey - Scanner Frequencies
7) Jersey Central Power & Light (North System) FELHC (Jersey Central Power & Light) Trunking System, Various, New Jersey - Scanner Frequencies

But here is example of what I am asking about..
City Of Bethlehem Bethlehem Public Safety Site Location Data Report if I put this in and turn up the squelch will I hear it a lot better?

But if not can u give me some way to hear it better so I can turn up the squelch higher on my regular frequencies and it will stop on my trunking system and still hear the action on those trunking system instead of skipping over it.

Transmitter location information can be found by using the FCC ULS license search. However, not all licenses have a definite transmitter for each location licensed. Your best bet is to go ahead with your plan and go with trial and error, see what works. I'm not too familiar with your area there in eastern PA but the systems you're looking at seem to be spread over a pretty large area.
