question on 5 element yagi

I just put a 5 element yagi together and the elements come out on the mast side, Will this effect the way the beam works or should I change them to the other side?

If it's end mounted, no worries
If it's center mounted, yes it's better to have the elements as far out of the plane of the mast mipe as possible.
Or you can mount it on a fiberglass mast pipe and get virtually no patter distortion
