Hey there, got a question, just got the DMR upgrade for my SDS100 and am trying to pogram the timeslot and talkgroup info. Tried to do that in the sentinel software but found no joy there, tried just doing it from the scanner and also no joy there ether. Question, does the SDS100 automatically find that info (time slot and talk group info) or do i have to enter that, and how do i do that? so far sentinel was no help, reading the manual was also of no help. What am i missing here? Thanx! N9NRA

Under Dept/Site Name, set site modulation to AUTO

Under Channel Name, set the Channel Name and then set the TGID and the TDMA Slot number

Under Site, set the Frequency and the Color Code

If the sds100 is set to detail mode on the screen, it will show the Slot, TGID, and Color Code

Also suggest you get a copy of ProScan, much better software than Sentinel, and does a whole lot more, worth the $50

To correctly program talk groups, slots and color codes, look into DMR One Frequency Trunk (OFT). This can be done in the free software Sentinel.

If it’s working as you want it to, read it back into Sentinel and save your work. You can look at the programming structure for any future systems you’d like to set up and know how it’s done.
