I have went and took my exam for my General License and now everything has updated from Tech to General just about every where but for some reason here on Radio Reference it has not been updated and i even went to file a ticket to have them update it they said it will on it's own but it has not yet and the radio reference is not link to the FCC database so it will not auto update and i have tried to file a ticket and they said they can't update it and i think they can update this as the admins have access to updating any information on RR but how ever still didn't and i just don't seem to understand why.. this isn't even that difficult to update the status to show General instead of showing Tech and it is very plain lazy and it makes me a little mad

Your upgrade to General was issued on March 19.

The RadioReference amateur radio license listings are pulled from the FCC once a week. Your license upgrade will most likely be reflected in the next data pull from the FCC.

Ya because I had hams tell me I am still tech when they look me up on RR and I told them I was general and stuff is why I was asking if it can be updated but I guess it will still as it takes time but I was just a little aggravated but I do have the right to express my self and it's my right to my opinion 73s

Enjoy your license, it can be a lot of fun! Find a good Elmer you trust; having a mentor helped me a lot when I first got mine. And when you feel ready to take your General test, HF will open up a whole new aspect of the hobby!

The very first answer to your question explained that RR pulls the license database once a week, automatically. It has only been four days since the upgrade showed up in the FCC database. The next time the automatic update runs, the upgrade should show on RR.

In the meantime, tell "people" that they need to go look up your license at the source, which is the FCC database:

A couple of points:

The FCC ULS database is the source for amateur radio license data. Any other website that shows amateur radio license data is working from a copy of the FCC's data and may not be 100% accurate. If there's any question about someone's license, go to the FCC ULS.

You are solely responsible for operating within your license privileges, not some other guy looking you up on some website.
