Okay... So at one point I had a 436 and if I recall correctly I can enable Favs / Systems / Sites / Depts in the same way a 325p2 / 396xt did by assigning quick keys. Is it done in this way? -->

0.0.1.1 would enable Favs List # 0, System # 0, Site # 1, Dept. #1? Is this how this works?

Any help to clarify would be awesome, thanks!

Too many levels.

0.0.1 would enable the Department(s) (or Site(s)) with DQK 1 in the system with SQK 0 which is in the FL with FQK 0.

DQKs and Site Quick Keys "share" a level. I usually assign sites to a DQK > 80 and departments <80 (when I assign them at all...).

I am adding CT State PD. So I think I am happy with a Fav list of 0 for that system, and just adding all sites, and just setting the avoid/unavoid as needed since I do not really stray from Bristol, where I pick up the H&W site perfectly. Also the Analyze feature on the 436 is great! Super useful. Thanks for response!

If you enable location-based scanning for the FL (off, by default), then put in your location, the scanner will avoid most sites for you. For your home base, I'd spend the few minutes to get my specific lat/lon and enter that with a range of 0 to minimize "overselecting" of too many sites. You can then save that location info so that if you put something else in, later, you can just quickly recall it.
