R2500 or PCR2500 Trunktracking P25?

I don't yet own a digital capable scanner and have heard the migration is in the works locally so its a matter of time. The 800 frequency rebanding will probably occur first though...

Could someone tell me if the R2500 or PCR2500 will track P25 communications? I understand an additional card is added to enable the P25 communications reception. Is this simply a card to enable this additonal mode on a single frequency or can it also be used for tracking an ID throughout a trunking type system with multiple channels?

I currently use the PCR100 and PCR1000 and really enjoy the capabilities of the TrunkPCR software.

The card is purely to decode the P25 signal and doesn't add any trunking capability to the radio.

The two articles in Pop Comm were very informative as the link was.

The simulcasting in my area might present a problem with the ICOM R2500 from what I can gather.
