A lot of folks on here cant copy Martinsville from their home. I sure cannot. Wouldn't do me any good to try and listen to Martinsville, race or not. Not much else to say.

The hobby is not going "downhill" so you can rest easy.

Decaf, maybe?

I was there yesterday and today...the only STARS traffic I heard was on one of the Mutual Aid Talkgroups.... VSP was operating there. Track Security was 452.075 with a DCS of 023...heard Henry County Sheriff, Martinsville City Sheriff and some Franklin County units on that channel. Shuttles and Golf Carts were on 451.875 with a DCS of 411. What appeared to be something like Guest Services was on 460.9625 with a PL of 88.5. The heliport was operating on 123.025. There were other UHF channels in use but I could not nail down exactly what they were used for.

NASCAR race control, as always, was 461.200 with a DCS of 432 but, to me, it sounds like an analog patch from what is possibly MOTOTRBO audio, noticed the same thing at Bristol the other week. It sounds similar to a analog patch to a P25 channel but a little different. Since MOTOTRBO use by NASCAR has been brought up before, that's what leads me to believe that is what is going on with it.
