Is it legal to carry a police scanner with you in the car? Also if another frequency is talking and a police cruisier is next to you does it interfear with there radio?

Question 1 is depends on local and state laws see the Wiki for further, for question 2 no it will not interfer with their radio's.

In Iowa it's legal to carry one in your car, their radio might interfere with your but yours won't with theirs.
