ok so I figured i'd post here. anyone in lancaster county should get what i mean.

How comes on a mobile Handheld Scanner I can pick up pd at the far southern end of lancaster county (Southern Regional,willow street ect) crystal clear, both unit to county, unit to unit...Same with other parts of the county but I can't pick up Metro (Manhiem Township). At all, its always so much static, or when I get it, it just becomes static after a few seconds...to me it doesn't make much sense. I am in Ephrata.

Metro has been problematic for years. LCWC had to install a tower at Brubaker's by LGH Health Campus because East Hempfield officers were not hearing things at all in that area, both mobile but especially portable.

I haven't heard anything lately, though. However, when we scan Metro in the cars here, it's scratchy at points...

We're all waiting for a new radio system that'll fix that... <rolls eyes>

Ahh ok, well I am glad it's not just me then. I'll just have to hook up my other radio that picks up metro better.

It'll be nice one day when you can hopefully hear everyone clear everywhere in the county...hopefully.

I know exactly what your talking about however, there a few places in Northern Harford county MD that i can pick up Metro clear as day on my way to or from work

Really? Wonder why that is. Thats Cool though.
