2051 protocol

Does anyone know where I might get the protocol information for the 2051. It shouldn't be to hard to write something simple just to upload and download frequencies if one had the protocol.

Pro-2051

I used the ScanCat Lite Plus for the 2051 and it worked almost flawlessy. The only fault I could find was that you could not just load the whole radio at one time, you had to load each bank individually. BUT, that also had advantages! You could replace just ONE bank at a time. I ended up upgrading to a PRO-97 which uses the same cable and works great with the ScanCat Lite Plus. Now, I admit that I have ONLY used ScanCat Lite Plus, so I have nothing to compare it to, but I like that you buy just one program and it includes all the radios I own.

I have used scancat plus for the 2051 for several weeks now. The tech department has walked me through a couple of things and have answered every question I have about how this works. Great support for the end user.

Even found a feature or 2 for them to work out.

Had a big problem figuring out EDACS on the software end, but once I figured out what the program needed, it is a snap.

This is a neat little application for what it does.

BTW: the cheap Radio Shack software on closeout does not support the 2051 AND it has the wrong cable....
