• To anyone looking to acquire commercial radio programming software:

Please do not make requests for copies of radio programming software which is sold (or was sold) by the manufacturer for any monetary value. All requests will be deleted and a forum infraction issued. Making a request such as this is attempting to engage in software piracy and this forum cannot be involved or associated with this activity. The same goes for any private transaction via Private Message. Even if you attempt to engage in this activity in PM's we will still enforce the forum rules. Your PM's are not private and the administration has the right to read them if there's a hint to criminal activity.

If you are having trouble legally obtaining software please state so. We do not want any hurt feelings when your vague post is mistaken for a free request. It is YOUR responsibility to properly word your request.

To obtain Motorola software see the Sticky in the Motorola forum.

The various other vendors often permit their dealers to sell the software online (i.e., Kenwood). Please use Google or some other search engine to find a dealer that sells the software. Typically each series or individual radio requires its own software package. Often the Kenwood software is less than $100 so don't be a cheapskate; just purchase it.

For M/A Com/Harris/GE, etc: there are two software packages that program all current and past radios. One package is for conventional programming and the other for trunked programming. The trunked package is in upwards of $2,500. The conventional package is more reasonable though is still several hundred dollars. The benefit is you do not need multiple versions for each radio (unlike Motorola).

This is a large and very visible forum. We cannot jeopardize the ability to provide the RadioReference services by allowing this activity to occur. Please respect this.

Yep, channel limitation is a problem. Oh well. I gave up and the perfect CODE PLUG and went simple. But most everything is working for me (including PL tones).

Only thing I wish I had was promiscuous.

That is supposedly coming to a firmware update. I'm not holding my breath, but so far they have been very proactive in addressing bugs in a timely manner.

I'm just wondering why the young lady who's been so helpful removed Facebook profile and disappeared! :(

maybe she was "tooo" helpful.... sad though... i was enjoying the BETA CPS....

Quick question: Do you know where to get a DMR download of the last active DMR ID's by chance?

I was thinking if I could get all the known DMR ID's in the last 7 days on my local reflector, it would probably be in the 100 range and nice to load into the GD-77

I just got the gd-77 firmware version v2.05.03. CTCSS seems to work fine on it. DMR does work, but I noticed a quirk in scanning. When scanning a scan group, the frequency display does not change, so you gotta guess when you hit a station. Also, keying the mic pauses, but does not completely stop scanning. Scanning will resume after a couple seconds.Anyone seeing this when scanning, and any suggestions for fixing it? Am I missing a setting?

This is available now... works great from the limited testing I've done so far.

That would be Jasmin... someone apparently reported her account saying that it was a fake account or she wasn't who she said she was, something along those lines. She's back now though.

I was reading about that on their Facebook page. I note that there is also at least one other from Radioddity there now as well.

I just updated to the latest firmware v2.06.01 this evening. I haven't had time to check Promiscuous Mode yet.

It does now.

In case anyone missed it firmware is now up to V2.6.3 with CPS at V1.1.5.

While the admit criteria still isn't quite right, with talk permit fixed it' a pretty usable entry level DMR radio.
