Hi everyone and happy Fathers day to all the dads out there,
I have a couple of issues going on with the Raspberry pi 4. First this the audio on Bluetooth is really bad I can hear dispatch prefect. When the officer comes on that answers the call the audio is really low and it sounds like they have the mic in their mouth a lot of the time. I was wondering how to fix this?

Next issue, I have asked this before I tried to figure it out myself but cant. I need two channels Florence PD and Florence Fire Department running on one raspberry Pi. 155.8200 and 155.7000 Any help would be great. I am a hands on type of person and need to be shown. If someone could take the time out of their day and show me that that would be great. Thanks for everyone's time and help

P.S
I decided to go back to school for computers. I have been going to school for three semester and next semester I start python coding class. I cant wait!

The only thing I can think of, and it may not be related to your issue, is to make sure your bluetooth connection is an a2dp protocol (or better), as that's a more robust protocol for audio. The older protocol is a really bad sample rate, used for older style phone handsets, but also can sound pretty tinny or muddy depending on the audio. Does the audio sound okay if it goes out the HDMI port instead? If so, could be a bluetooth protocol thing. I'd test this out myself, but I don't have a pair of bluetooth headphones that work at the moment. I seem to recall having similar issues to this in the past with bluetooth and linux, I want to say it was on my laptop of the time, but that was years ago.

Ill try HDMI and the 3.5 jack and get back with you. Thank you for your time and help.

If you can hear one side perfectly, then it probably an issue on the user or radio system side.

You could pass the audio through liquidsoap (instead of playing it directly) and enable the optional signal processing blocks that are defined/commented out in the op25.liq script.

I would be willing to help you to with the configs but won't have any time available to do so until next week somewhere around Junce 30th.

Hey bill I had to have surgery on my hand. I have stitches in it and was wondering if I can reschedule with you.

Sure! I am retired and am generally not all that busy. Maybe send me a PM when you're able to use your hand again.
