RCS AUDIO ??

Do they turn down the power output on the RCS at night why I ask is it seems like the audio is not as loud during the night I have to turn up my radios a little bit more then turn them down again during day, Just thought I would ask the experts on here, Thanks for the info and Merry Christmas all

Are there any particular talkgroups you notice this on?

I notice it on SDSO Poway, Rural, Santee and sometimes on there corresponding Tac channels

Just fyi Don its still doing it on the north RCS on most of the TG# I have in my BCD325P2,BCD396XT,BC346XTC but night and day now for Sheriff, FD's ,PD

I don't quite understand this thread. I hear no differences in audio levels on RCS north talkgroups during the day vs. night. Can you be more specific?

To confirm, it is shifting between day and night on those TGs, or between calls?

I suspect it is a matter of his location, and which sites are getting into Ramona.

I'm starting to think the same thing but I live less then a 1/8 mile from the Ramona Airport so it could the issue and it happens on 3 of my scanners but I don't notice it on my 996T in my car tho

I suspect one or two of the transmitters (out of 19) at the local site have low audio.
