REACT Exercise on 462.7

Hi all-

Did anybody else catch the Nassau County REACT exercise on 462.7000mHz Today? At first I thought it was a police department, with the unit numbers and MDC, but then the dispatcher (?) mentioned REACT. I only caught the last ten minutes, but it sounded like a big radio check (1 2 3 4 5 4 3 2 1). Anybody know what's up?

I have that programmed in but never hear anything?!! Did you catch any pl/dpl tone??

Sorry, I couldn't - it's been very on and off since about noon - I haven't heard anything for at least 15 min (I am running WinMDCD and WinCTCSS to see if I can grab some MDC IDs and tones...)

EDIT - WinCTCSS just picked up PL 141.3 -OR- 136.5

One of the members on my site is a REACT Dispatcher for Nassau..
I'll ask him what was going on today, and to check this thread.....

That would explain it. No wonder people were marveling about how they were coming in 5x5 in Nassau... :lol:
