It's been fairly well established by now that if the Moto system that was rebanded has a 5 in the fourth decimal for all the frequencies that a custom table isn't required; in that case, only a bit of reprogramming would be needed. It's only when one or more of the freqs has a 0 there that it can cause potential trouble, since conversations that land on that frequency might be missed.

However it leaves open the question of what happens if a custom table is supplied anyway? Right now the database doesn't have the intelligence to make the decision, and I'm wondering if it's still OK or not?

The custom tables do not change anything. They simply ADD freqs. in the 851-854 range, like 851.0250, 851.0500, etc. 851.0125, 851.0375, etc. are already there.
The custom tables don't add the actual freqs., only new channel numbers starting at 440.

Correct, at least this far: the "rebanded" table option offered in Win500 will work on any SmartNet/SmartZone system, whether or not it has rebanded (unless "shuffle" is invoked by the system controller).

Good Grief, don't remind anyone about that.!
