This same post is in the software section also;
Having difficulties trying to record a channel/list when it becomes
active. I have a BC796D and have the ARC250 Software.
I have placed record on in the appropriate column and by way of
the virtual control screen(under the Audio tab) have set it to record.

However- when I look in the folder that it is supposed to save to- nothing is there.

Anyone out there have experience with this?

I will indorse N6NBD's recommendation. IDTracker allows you to do much more and easier than ARC250's confusing setup.

Any reason why this wouldn't work with the 396?
Yes, the 396T operational codes are different from the ones in IDTracker. They could be added, but David typically only adds what he can test. However the source code is available on his site.

It sure is, and it's in VB6, something I've been using for years.

I'll look at it tomorrow and see whether I can get it perking on the 396. Maybe give me some ideas for something else I'm writing for the 396. If I can get it working, it'll be under the same terms - freeware with source code for download.

Update - changing the baud rate and the commands was easy, but the program is heavily into banks, so it'll take a major rethinking to make it work with dynamic memory. Not something I'm going to have finished this week. :)
