Truly bummed out by this. Todd was such a nice guy, and early on he helped me with my radio working through some bugs, tirelessly, as documented in that first mega thread, and in private emails. He even gave me a custom black enclosure for one of my Gen 1s, at a discounted price. He was always willing to help and a true savant, really sucks he's gone.

I am amazed at the depth of knowledge he had in pulling this off single handedly. The P25 specs, the engineering, the linear simulcast understanding. It would take a team of engineers in the corporate world to attempt this and the results would be mediocre because of meetings, schedules, reports, politics and bull****. I think he was tired of that world and preferred his own environment. Unfortunately the real world does not recognize or reward such brilliance.

People like Todd, Edwin Armstrong, and so many others lived inside their world and struggled with no one around to support them. "Flying Solo, Your Life is In Your Hands" is a struggle. It's easy to say "just reach out" but folks who have had their hands at the yolk for so long keeping that plane at flight level and in the air aren't going to just hand over the controls.

Rest in peace Todd. Your work will live on. Thank you.

Very sad to see this. Todd was a genius and was very helpful in all of our email exchanges and support of his products. May he rest in peace.

It's Dec 30th and I just learned that Todd died. I'm devastated. I never really knew him outside of emails and forum posts but he always helped me out.

I'm glad I bought the original P25RX. It got me back into the radio hobby when I thought listening to Phase 2 simulcast was out of my reach

Thank you Todd. You are missed.
