REpost Scanner Not picking up two way radio comms!!??

I posted a similar thread a while back titled "maybe dumb question but scanner not picking up transmissions"
This is still absolutely baffling me. I've run more tests and again just recently: Simplex gmrs channel comms on two way radio.. back and forth on cheap hts no special settings. Tried setting scanner to multiple different freqs being used and PICKS UP NOTHING. Not at a mile, two mile or half a mile distance. Yet picks up local hams and further towns police comms. Please help. Thank you

You posted twice before, and got multiple replies, doubt response will change. The responses were from some of the best and most experienced on here and they all gave you good advice. This seems to be a yearly post from you.

Any other ideas ?Set the squelch to zero so that you can hear the noise and then transmit with the HT. Do you hear the noise disappear or you still hear the noise or some new interference type of sound? When you transmit the noise should be replaced with a clean carrier and you should be able...

Would there be a way to test for damage of a hand held scanner? When I didn't know what I was doing I tested out trying to pick up my HT transmission on a unifen scanner...I tested this by walking a few rooms down. The scanner picked up Zero transmission...I've posted here in the past about...
