Retevis MA1 Software

I have two new Retevis MA1 radios on the way to my job. I downloaded version 3.6 software from the Retevis web site. I have tried everything to get it up and running. I deleted the download and also tried the file from Auilance. The file say it installed but when I try to open it I get a error message. "The invocation of the constructor on type'WRFrqTool_Wpfapp.main/window' that matches the specified binding constraints threw an exception.

I have searched for assistance and have tried everything that has been suggested.
Run as Administrator, Compatibility Mode, I gave checked Windows Security Blocking. Nothing works. I was going to write the programming and have it ready when they arrive. If I cannot get the software to work properly I will send the radios back and go another route. The computer I am using is a Windows 11 Pro.

I ran into something similar with another program a while back. You might be missing a dependency. You can try updating your windows c++ runtime. You might also want to make sure you've got .net framework 3.5 and 4.x enabled in windows features.

My Windows C++ is up to date and net.framework 3.5 and 4.x are enabled and I still cannot get it to run.

Hi Mike (@mjdewey). Just for kicks and giggles, I installed the Retevis MA1 programming software on my Dell laptop running Windows 11 Pro with current updates for what @cmjonesinc suggested. Just like your first post, I got the same error message. Running in Windows 8 compatibility mode did not work either. Same error. So I then ran the Windows Compatibility Troubleshooter for the MA1 application. That did not work either. Same error. Next I right-clicked on the MA1 desktop icon and selected "Run as administrator" and it started OK that time. The MA1 applications seems to be working 100% now as long as I start the program using the "Run as administrator" option.

Great news! Glad that worked for you. Now you get to figure out the wonky software. LOL

<edit> Well... the software does not seem to be too terribly wonky. I figured it out (for the most part). LOL
