RG58 or RG174 ?

Building an indoor antenna for my BCD536HP and my question is which cable would be better to use RG58 or RG174? I can get the cable with the 50 ohm BNC connectors with either type cable at the same price.

If the cable size isn't a concern, RG-58 has less loss compared to RG-174. That means more signal reaches your radio.

Thanks to all for the input on my question, once I get my indoor antenna project completed I will inform all of any improvements

You might consider LMR-200 which has lower loss and is about the same thickness, but stiffer. If you have room for something slightly thicker, try LMR-240.
