Hello,

I'll be taking over as the database admin for the state of Rhode Island. It's my intention to whip this database into shape asap but I'll need the help of area scannists as well. I plan on using data from the Scan New England Wiki to update, but I also need help from you folks to get things up to snuff. I have worked all of the submissions that were in the queue for the state.

As I see it now the RI database is a disaster, alpha tags are non-existent or hieroglyphic as are channel descriptions. I have done a quick fix to Providence County thus far and will whittle away at the rest.

Geotagging will be a big chore but I plan to tag each town with a little bit of an overlap into the adjacent towns. County agencies will of course be tagged for countywide monitoring, as will state agencies. RISCON will be a chore in and of itself, but I will follow the same procedure unless anyone has better input.

Your help would be appreciated. Please use the Submit Info link at the top of the page to do so if you can. Thanks!

System Type - Programming a Uniden BCD996T

Im trying to program my scanner BCD996T to listen to the RI STatewide Comm Network. It says its a Project 25 Phase 1. I did some research and understand what Phase 1 means and understand what P25 is. But when programming the scanner, there is a type called Motorla Type 2 / P25. Is this the correcting setting for the type. There is no single P25.

Thanks
Jeff

Jeff, your question would be better suited in the Uniden Forum. Please take it there.

Thanks to a quiet day I have been able to finish the restructuring of just about all conventional frequency data for RI, as well as the RISCON system. I will work on the remainder of trunked systems ASAP. What I now need are accuracy reports and data to add, change, or omit from any of the above. Also, all systems, sites, and groups have been geotagged in both conventional and RISCON.

I don't know if this is this is the right forum, but anyways I was noticing that there was a update to the RISCON system and they are duplicate frequencies for each of the systems.

Hmmm, I didn't change any frequency information. I'll have to check that and fix it with the latest info I can fine, which is probably at my site in the Wiki.

P500 files for RI

Actually it might be good to upload it here and also over on the SNE site under the Files Section

Bill ,

I tried that and the site says I uploaded two files but they never got in for some reason. Will update and send directly to Scott or yourself if you wish..

B.K.

Duplicate frequencies for North Zone have been removed. There is some missing data for municipal agencies that have moved to RISCON; I will try to update asap. I know Coventry PD is one of them.
