I know that this is off topic for the thread, but when I listen to NJICS on p25 here in Gloucester County NJ, who Is it that I’m hearing? It’s plenty busy.

I don't see any sites or talkgroups for Gloucester Co on the NJICS system. You must be monitoring adjacent counties.
NJICS is listed at the bottom of the page for Gloucester county on p25, but I guess it‘s just statewide. It comes in very clear.

Check out the new update to the database for Rowan on the Gloucester County page from earlier today. The talkgroup for the security main channel is 9001. The call boxes (TG 9002) and EMS Ops (TG 9003) channels also went digital on their respective frequencies. Still need to verify the slots and color codes on those channels.
Hi. Do you think I’ll need the slots and color codes to listen to this Dmr on my sds200? I didn’t try with the talk groups yet. I’m not giving up though.

Yes, off topic, but I suppose you're allowed to hijack your own thread. Your SDS should show the talkgroup names when scanning the system, so there shouldn't be any mystery as to who you're hearing.

He's monitoring the Berlin Simulcast. There is one subsite in Gloucester, as well as four subsites in neighboring counties.

Thats it. Berlin and it mentioned toll roads, so I’m thinking it’s the AC expressway that I was monitoring.

Still wondering what the mystery is. If you are monitoring the NJICS with the SDS, it will display the talkgroup description when there is activity. If you are hearing AC Expressway units, then the scanner should display Troop A (South) Patrol Operations and Atlantic City Expressway Patrols

I’m still not sure what I need to do to program this where I can hear it. I’ve been on the phone with Uniden and they are telling me to wait and then load the information using their sentinel software from the Radio reference database. Having no luck hearing this at all trying to program it with he Uniden help sheet.

I’m seeing troop A (south) when I hear NJ state police, which is on fm. The NJICS is p25 and I haven’t seen Atlantic City Expressway yet.

Shoot. I placed the talk group in and selected only the one favorite list that I created and I can hear it on DMR. I loaded TG9001 and its up. So I have the main operation. Now I can enter for call boxes and ems.

it’s so darn quiet over there, as the place is mostly closed. Thanks for everyone’s help!

Okay, now I’m seeing Turnpike South. Just needed to know where to look as it scans. Thanks for the tip.

So I have the Rowan U main security channel on the SDS200. Once I got the talk group, I programmed it in using written instructions from Uniden for programing dmr for one frequency systems. It sounds really good. I didn’t program the code blue call boxes yet. I may today. Now that I see the talk group, color code and slot number here in the data base, I’ll try an inexpensive dmr radio to see what happens.

There’s a link in this thread for digital frequency search which lists a number of frequencies as dmr that are supposed to be Rowan U. I didn’t try these yet.

As far as the sds200 goes, the dmr is pretty good. NJICS and Gloucester County Fire and Ems on p25 sound really good. I think I can hear all of the county fire and ems. State police on fm has spotty reception, but I think that’s just because of my location. I’m very happy with the radio.

I thank everyone who posts here.
