I have an RPI 4, a 8GB SD card with the an RTL-SDR dongle and would like to set it up to broadcast a single local ham radio repeater. I am the owner of the repeater, so have permission.

The image for RPI posted here on Broadcastify is pretty old and there does not seem to be any step-by-step guide on how to put this together. I configured the rtl_airband.cfg file for my frequency. The rtl_airband bin finds the device, but when I try and run it it says 0 devices and 0 channels and wrong modulation type. Google’d for a solution but nothing.

Does anyone have a good set up guide? I have the broadcastify feed information already approved.

From the Wiki:

  • modulation (string, optional) - channel modulation, either "am" (the default) or "nfm". The latter is only available if NFM support has been enabled when building the program, otherwise you will get "unknown modulation" error on program start.
can you post your configuration file?
