Hey Guys/Gals,

Has anyone noticed that this model scanner is super sensitive to interference. I have it side by side with an older model Uniden (BCT-7 maybe?) and what I get as interference on the Pro-2051 just gets scanned thru by the Uniden. Is there a fix for this?

I have tried both with the standard antenna and even hooked the Pro up to a home made discone antenna with no improvment.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Ed

Widely reported, and combined with it's very difficult firmware (which is a mix of GRE and Uniden specs), it's unpopularity doomed it to the circular recycling bin.

There are much better alternatives. Be more specific about your needs. 73 Mike

Actually when I was using my 2051 I found not as bad as my GRE scanners, I live very close to a pager and you soon find out how good the selectivity is on a scanner. A solution would be a notch filter like a PAR but the cost would be half what the 2051 cost new. Then you would need to narrow down the offender that was causing the problem.
