Idk, placebo lol...metal case would be nice for sma supportDid it make a difference?

Anyway, I just prefer the fit and finish of the stock metal case, not just for the RF shielding but it just looks and feels better.
I did see improvement when I replaced the Mini PCI U.FL to RP-SMA FemaleFrom what I read online there is some sort of treatment inside the case, but i've never bothered to open it up and check. Honestly, I would have preferred the metal case as well. In my use case you cannot even see mine... unless you aim a camera under the desk and use a flash. So if I wanted to use a metal box around it, no one would ever see it anyway.

I just wrap tin foil around my head and that works fine.I lined the inside of my plastic case with aluminum tape
List of differences right on their page:In terms of performance is the RSP1B the same better then the RSPdx?
I only see two improvements. Metal case and improved noise reduction. Again is it the same thing as my 1A that i bought a metal case for? Seems to be. My noise came way down with the metal case.List of differences right on their page:
Attached is the comparison as well.![]()

For easy replacement 😁 with the rsp1a it was easy to not notice sma just turning and turning a little each time. Buddy thought his was dead, the sma panel mount had turn so much, over time the cable pig tailed, ipex pop offWhy isn't the antenna port soldered directly to the board? The cable can introduce loss and noise, no?
