I have a Radio Shack Pro 95 scanner. What would be the best rubber ducky antenna to purchase that could give me general all around reception.
I want to listen to the 30-50 range, 140-160 range, 450-512 range mostly.
I don't want the adjustable type.
Any recommendations would be appreciated.

Forget any range on 30-50 (a half-decent antenna is around 3 feet long, but you can't supply a counterpoise at that frequency). For 140-160 and 450-512 the antenna that comes with it is pretty good, unless you want to go with one of the 16"-18" antennas, but they're a bit long to carry around.

antenna for Pro 95

What brand or web site has the 16" to 18" antenna that your talking about. The height is not a problem for me.

Diamond RH77CA from Univeral Radio

I just got my RH77CA last night and so far I have alot less static on several frequencies that have always been kinda scratchy. I bought this antenna due to a discussion here and forum members positive comments on it. It really seems like a quality unit. Check it out at www.universal-radio.com cost was 21.95 plus shipping and it measures about 15" tall and flexible.
I hope this helps some......
