Russell County SO, Phenix City Police

I don't hear Russell County Sheriffs on 155.5350 any more, I under stand they might have switched to The Alabama First Responders Network. On this RR.Com site there is conflicting Information about Phenix City Police and Fire Depts. They Switched to a new system about a year ago I reckon. The Ala First responders network was supposed to Increase Inter agency operability; With that thought in mind Phenix City Al. Frequencies are listed, They are not listed on the page that shows Alabama Encrypted trunked systems. However this site says their entire Communications system is Encrypted Both Law And Fire, Everything. I would like to know how accurate this information is? Phenix City is in Russell County. Did Russell county Switch to the Alabama First responders Net? and is it Encrypted as well? Seems to me that Inter agency operability would be restricted if every one is encrypting their communications. Opelika Police is on the First responders Net. and not Encrypted. I have not Listened to Columbus Ga. police since the 90s except on the internet for a minute,there on a different shared system now from what I see. Or Ft. Benning Ga. Mps. or Phenix City, Police. only when there was a reason to. Same for Lee County Al. Sheriff; I always Listen to Russell Co. So. and the (Vol. Fire Depts. in Russell Co.) which are still on the same old Analog repeaters. It wont do me any good to up grade to a New TRX1,TRX2, or Uniden or any other Brand If it wont receive what I want it to. Im new on this site, any help would be greatly Appreciated Thanks.

most of this info is correct and has been verified . i know this blows. the hobby is dying out. i do not favor
encypt. encypt a few channels but please leave dispatch open.
