Sorry, wasn't aware of that, last night I was getting some traffic on those, but typically it's dead, would that explain why?
It's not that busy of a department. Folsom is probably the safest area of the County (in general), and has relatively little crime. Most of the time you'll hear vehicles stops and audible alarms. Every once in a long while, they'll have pursuits/foot pursuits, etc...

AFAIK, though, the old talkgroups are still in full usage. I've got them running, and am hearing about the amount of traffic I expect from FPD.

D'oh! This thread is getting a little long and I just realized that the new Folsom talkgroups were posted a few weeks ago, so I apologize for bringing it up again.

I know stickied threads get to be a bit long but don't forget the 'search thread' feature. I'd just rather not have several child threads on the topic. The sticky for this thread has just about run its course though so I'll be removing it soon.

West Sac PD Ch 1 is now on the SmartZone. Can't remember if it's a patch, or switched over. Dunno about their other channels, but will try to listen in. Can't verify the #'s are correct for all, but WSP 1 is definitely.

WSP 1 64944
WSP 2 64976
WSP T1 65072
WSP T2 65104
WSP T3 65136
WSP T4 65168

On the database page for the new system, could someone provide a short, basic description for the Site locations? As it stands, if you aren't familiar with the old systems and haven't read thru this long thread, you wouldn't have a clue -

Site 01 - Location: Various, California / Site Description: Site 01
Site 02 - Location: Various, California / Site Description: Site 02

Tells you absolutely nothing about what areas they cover.

Thanks!

There's also quite a few talkgroups that have been identified, but haven't made it into the database yet. Has anyone submitted the newer ones like Sac PD, West Sac PD, Folsom PD, etc?

There is a rumor that site 2 is near McClellan AFB. I was driving north on Elk Horn into North Highlands and the signal got stronger and stronger. Site 1 is in the south somewhere and I haven't made any attempt to find it.

Normally when one applys for an FCC license, they have to give the long, lat, and elevation of the antenna site. I don't know how an FCC license is applied for, since there are so many entities on the trunking system, don't know if it is individual licenses or one big one, but that is another way to pursue the locations.

Do you think that because Glen Craig lives there has anything to do with their special security force?

There are several towers throughout the county. The one closest to Elkhorn Blvd in North Highlands is the Gibson Ranch tower.

Site 001 ( city ) = WNXW543

Site 002 ( county ) = WNYR751

http://gullfoss2.fcc.gov/cgi-bin/ws.exe/genmen/uls/call_res.hts?db_id=19&rows=&callsign=WNYR751

The users of the radio system ' Lease ' the use of the system.
By clicking the " site " link you can find a lot info about tower locations.

Rancho Murietta Security is a very well respected organization and was around before Craig moved out there. They are respected by the Sheriff's Deputies that patrol that area too. Murietta security often times handles minor " incidents " without assistance. Whether it be an audible alarm or a minor neighborhood dispute, they are usually able to handle "issues" within their community.

Yes, there are some high profile officials ( past & present ) that live in that community, some way above a Sheriff. There are also some very expensive homes within the planned community. Sheesh, for the amount of property tax they have to pay and the "dues" - They better have a damned good security firm working for them.

Nothing is pending. I'd also like more details on what to identify/further inform the sites as. Just 1 as City and 2 as County?

If someone can put this together and submit it it would make it easier for me rather than combing through this thread.
