LOL. Didn't see that.

"Site" here doesn't refer to a physical location...As Ant posted, each "site" has multiple locations...the towers that carry the traffic that site is broadcasting.

Site 1 consists of the old City freqs (and they're still licensed to the City), and Site 2 is the County (who still has the license), so that makes as much sense as anything.

There's an Excel file with the updated talkgroups floating around, but I did not make it, and can't speak to whether the owner of that would want to submit it.

Nothing is pending. I'd also like more details on what to identify/further inform the sites as. Just 1 as City and 2 as County?

If someone can put this together and submit it it would make it easier for me rather than combing through this thread.

Site 001 is basically Sac City services, including West Sac in Yolo County.

Site 002 is pretty much everything else.
From countywide to incorperated cities like Folsom.

So I see your point, City and County descriptors really don't reflect the sites.
How should they be labled. Beats me. Maybe just simply site 001 and site 002.

Sorry about that, I was driving North on Garfield, then went West on Elkhorn,
or was there a curve in the road? Your'e right, I was going west and the signal
kept getting stronger.

Years ago, Garfield went straight into Elkhorn, then they re-did the freeway
interchange so that it stopped at Greenback and you then had to turn left (west)
on Greenback which after it crosses the freeway turns into Elkhorn.

I'm pretty sure someone posted the Folsom talkgroups, but I found a few more...I'll just post what I have confirmed:

FIRE FOLSOM 54320

I heard this one as well. I don't think it can be "confirmed" as folsom fire. Folsom fire wasn't on the system before, at least I never heard them.

From what I did hear on this talkgroup, it sounded like a training excercise. The old system had a bunch of training talkgroups for fire, maybe this is part of the new systems training talkgroups?

That talkgroup came from a file that contains only confirmed talkgroups. I didn't hear any actual traffic on this TG. It came from a reliable source.

Well where is the rest of this file so we can all see it :)

I'll be updating a bunch of confirmed stuff in a moment, Wayne, heads up.

unfortunatly, sometimes people cannot reveal all their tgs or frequencies. lets say someone who worked for sac city or something and released this information to just one person, a friend. it's unwise to release everything and one could get their source in trouble. i suspect this is the case with pfish.

Or could it be a carryover from the current system, kind of like how the county trs database has talkgroups for Folsom Fire, even though Folsom Fire is on Metro Fire. Or how there's a talkgroup for Mercy American River hospital, which closed down years ago.

That's it exactly.

There are a lot of talk groups that are available and operative, but are not used.

Thats what I was thinking. I saw their old talkgroups in the 4328 system but never heard any traffic. All the PD channels are definitely confirmed, including T3.

Heard three new analog simulcast Regional Transit talkgroups yesterday:

57040 bus transportation (11312 on old system)
57232 light rail transportation (11408 on old system)
57264 light rail supervision (11504 on old system)

If you compare the new tgid's to the old tgid's, you will notice that they don't seem to follow the "rule of 32" like the old ones did. If they did, 57232 would be 57136, and 57264 would be 57232.

FYI:

This might be better for another thread - but I am not sure if the officials at this drill will be on the new systems. So you might hear some activity on the TG's that are not used very often.

Tomorrow at Cosumnes River College, there will be a disaster drill being conducted at the campus. The type of disaster is unknown.

A press conference will be held after that at around 0900 - 1000 hours for the media. The exercise should commence right after that.

It will include members from the Sacramento Regional Citizen Corp - CERT, Sacramento Regional Medical Reserve Corp, SSD Search & Rescue, SSD & SPD VIPS, Disaster Service Worker Amatuer Radio Groups (ARES, RACES, SHARP), and others in the mix...

So if you hear any radio traffic that sounds out of the ordinary, that is probably this exercise.

I have yet to find a TGID that has deviated from this list.

Your master site
I've got the info now in spreadsheet form but it's not in an easy format to import so I have to do it by hand, which I don't have the time for at the moment. If someone has an easier text format to use I'm open.

Folsom Fire never had its own dispatch channel in the past. It was on A2/A3. Are we sure they're dispatching their own units now? They DID have a channel on the old system (4328), but were dispatched like all the County/Galt/WGFPD, etc...

Good catch...

CHPD starts 0700hrs Monday June 26th.

Just in time for July 4th.
If there is a day to catch a TGID, it's going to be the week before/after July 4th.

For SSD, July 4th has historically been the busiest day of the year, also the busiest day for "mic key-ups" for the city/county trunked radio system.
