Recently I heard Saia Net was hacked and the Public Safety organizations that use it were unable to use for a few days. I'm sure the other rentals couldn't use it either.
Anyone have any further information on this?

Interesting. East Aurora said they were down for 4 days.
I believe what you were referring to is the same thing I heard from MULTIPLE reliable sources that TRBONet radio consoles, which would have been installed by Saia, were hacked, forcing some dispatch centers to dispatch from portables for times greater than 24 hours.

Their radio systems down? No. The consoles that SaiaNet users use, yes.

Maybe that's what they meant. That would be a bad situation either way. At least they could use the portables!

You are correct, a server, in a cluster, was hit, and for security reasons, pulled offline. The cluster was inspected, verified clean, and put back online. The down time was approx 24 hrs. All PSAPs maintained communications with all resources via their respective backup plans. Saianet (Conn+, CapMax) was not impacted.

Some things do and some things don’t. Nobody wants to let the dirt out usually. Wouldn’t be a good look to the public either way.
