The poster here claimed they heard from the head of OEM 12/2024. Seems a bit ambitious if the license was only granted last year but if it were true the sites would be online and testing would be ongoing now (I'm not in range so I can't confirm or negate)Does anyone have any updates on when Salem Counties new radio system is going to be up and running, or if we have an update on its status.
RRDB relies on user submissions to stay up to date. Once the system is brought online someone will need to log the data then make submissions for it to be reflected in the DB.Also when is the system/frequencies/TG groups going to start being listed on the TRS list.
Yes. We have already been hearing it and it sounds pretty good. There's a little more information hereNot sure when the TG IDs will be posted but ID 1001 is the dispatch channel. That's all I have for any update.
This week i am going to put all those TGIDs in my Unication, find one sweet spot in the southwest corner of the house and record it. Maybe i can cAccording to the OEM lead JP, the system will be coming online very shortly, The County is in the final acceptance with Motorola, completing Tile Map voice testing week of 7/21 and will soon be distributing portable radios. Sounds like mobile fire/squad apparatus will be using portables during vehicle unit installations. Talk Group 1001 is a Patch of the current 500 mHz Dispatch Channel for all dispatches and has been active for several weeks. Below is a list of all the TGs I've captured of the past few weeks but there has been little transmissions on them. County not yet ready to release TG labels.

Thank you. As the portables get programmed perhaps we will hear some testing on various talkgroups. I still need to work on getting my G5 in a good spot from Camden County. Perhaps during testing we may find out something about these talkgroups.Salem County has all the hardware but none has been program yet, a task they anticipate doing soon. Reported to be about 1300 portables which will be used until the mobile units are installed in the apparatus. As previous reported, TGID 1001 is rebroadcasting all Fire/Ems dispatching (Tone & Voice) from 501.0375. Over the past couple of weekdays, a couple of Techs have been active on TGID 1015 doing alarm checks on the Tower sites. May be finished as I hear nothing today (8/26).
Heard nothing on Police but that is supposed to be all encrypted. PDs are still on their old freqs.
So the SDS scanners by nature do not have simulcast distortion issue other scanners have. They operate differently which is what makes them so good on P25 simulcast. But, you can try the different filters. You should pick up fine from Mullica Hill since you're just a little down the road from Woodstown. What is between you and Woodstown? Trees? A big hill? Buildings?Well this is quite a bummer. I cannot reliably pickup this system from my home in Mullica Hill. I have a high rate of errors on both my SDS100 using the Remtronix antenna and my SDS200 has the same issue utilizing the antenna in the attic. Simulcast distortion seems to be the issue. According to Google Earth I am smack in the middle of two sites. If I take my SDS100 and walk a few blocks down the street all is well. I guess it is what it is. I have no issues with any other systems. Gloucester County, Camden County, Atlantic County, Philly, NJICS, Delco P25, Chester County, and Montgomery County.
