Since I'm in L.A. County, I'm not able to monitor the SBDO County systems. Can anyone report what has become of the fire department radio traffic? Are they still on their original systems?

Thanks!

I'm still hearing them on System 6/7 and System 8. (And the VHF tacs. and 159.12000 -- "Mountain Region and Cajon Pass VHF Access")

And on a somewhat related note the fire agencies dispatched by San Bernardino County Comm Center are now on Pulse Point.

They are at least on the valley and mountain areas. Headed into the Victorville area tomorrow, we'll see.

So it looks like the ares where the sheriffs dept is using the Mot type 2 system they are unencrypted then? On system 5 (needles) the deputies voice sounds like it would on a digital system but it is in the clear, and the dispatchers voice sounds analog if that makes any sense. I imagine they are transitioning all the areas to the new P25 system.

Where? I can’t find anything closer than Pomona

Here are the agencies dispatched by Comm Center per San Bern Co. FD:

San Bernardino County Fire
Colton
Loma Linda
Redlands
Rialto
Rancho Cucamonga Fire Department

CONFIRE (Comm Center) also provides dispatch services by contract for Apple Valley Fire Protection District, Big Bear Fire Authority, Running Springs, San Manuel, Montclair and Upland Fire Departments, Baker Ambulance, and the San Bernardino County Transportation/Flood Control Department.

I don't see any of them on the dropdown menu here: https://webapp.pulsepoint.org/

The dropdown menu must not be complete though, unless very few departments nationwide participate.

Appears that the agencies were removed from both the webapp and app itself. I still see them as I had followed them a few days ago but they aren't coming up anymore when you search for them.

Something must be going on with the PulsePoint database because I too can no longer search for them but I am still following them on the app. Now just because I’m following them doesn’t mean much because they’re aren’t any active calls for any of the agancies served

RadioChuck, you didn't say where in LAC you're located.

You can still hear the West Valley on BDC V-1 (151.1450). It's patched to 6-FIRE-1 and the transmitter is on AeroJet. The coverage goes all the way from Chino Hills to San Dimas and across the face on the mountains to North Fontana.

On the desert side you can hear BDC V-3 (151.1525). It's patched to 1-FIRE-1 and the transmitter is on Quartzite. The coverage goes from the east end of Apple Valley across the backside of the mountains into Wrightwood and through Valyermo into Littlerock.

Hope this helps.

I am in Glendora, off of Lone Hill and the 210. I’ll definitely check out those VHF frequencies. I appreciate that info. [emoji1303]

Just an FYI, I spoke to Pulsepoint and they said that they’re still in the testing/acceptance phase for SBC. They’re still working out final issues and that Confire should be up and stable by the end of the month

Thanks for the info.. Some of the agencies in the drop down box on the web app page have radio feeds and the agencies that I took a look at on the CAD (type) area show more than just CPR and AED events.

Not trying to high jack this thread, but did SBCoFD go to the dreaded encryption this weekend? Fire-D keys up and just getting squelch sound. May take a little road trip later today and see if it is just repeater problem.
