I guess this is the proper forum to post this question in. If it isn't, please move this topic. Anyway, I just purchased a SBE Trinidad for $25 at a garage sale. It seems to work fine, but I don't understand what the functions of the knobs and switches are. I did some Googling, but really couldn't find that much information about the CB. Can anyone explain the functions of these knobs and switches? The only ones I know are volume, squelch, and CB/PA.

Hi Joseph and readers,

In the up position the meter switch reads S units on receive, watts on transmit, don't count on accuracy. In the down position it becomes the SWR meter, the switch to the right in up position is for calibrate, adjust the knob for a full scale reading on transmit. Then the switch in down position reads SWR. Delta tune shifts the receive frequency slightly to clarify off frequency stations, a "fine tune" feature.

That's a classic rig, good luck with it.

Thanks for the reply, it works fine. Someone lent me an SWR Meter and it gave me bad readings for my current antenna, so I'll have to get a new one eventually.
