ScanIn Time!

OK, it's been about a year since our last ScanIn at PDK airport. Who is in for another one? I'm thinking a Saturday sometime in August so we can all get together!

For those uninitiated to the ScanIns - Back in the late 90's, the ScanAtlanta.com group would get together for lunch, usually at some place where scanning was good, and everyone would talk scanners, show off all their equipment, talk scanners, have a meal, talk scanners, give away prizes and talk scanners.

I'm going to find out what Saturday I have off in August and will set the date. Once set, that's it. I know we can't please all the people all the time, but you can't change it 10 different times in a month. I would say the Downwind Restaurant at PDK somewhere around 1:00PM. We can all meet in the parking lot before going in.

As a relative novice with a GRE 500, and never attended a Scan In, I am looking forward to meeting some of you folks. Sat the 21st would be a good date to try.

August is great except for 7th and 8th weekend - haven't been at one of these in a while Mike, good idea. I remember touring the TV station many years ago during a Scan-in.

AUGUST 21 2010 AT PDK 1330 (1:30PM), MEET IN THE PARKING LOT BY ATLANTIC AVIATION.

Bring your scanners, bring your antennas, bring your appetite! We will eat and have a good time at The DownWind Restaurant. If you have anything you would like to sell, trade, etc., bring it with you and someone will probably make you an offer!

If you are a GMRS user - Talk-In on Pine Log Mountain (462.625 141.3) for coordination.
