But none of these others have the full nationwide database preloaded in them and are selectable by service type. You can narrow down or expand what you want to listen to with the HP-1 by several methods, not just location. With any other scanner on that list you have to program in all the frequencies either by hand or with software and a subscription to RR. Not needed with the HP-1.
