Open device manager on your PC and then plug the scanner in via USB. once plugged into the PC look at the device manager and double click the yellow caution sign and select to install drivers. Select the folder you saved the drivers in and it will install for you. Then open this program up and you should be in business brother!
Excellent job, love this, just received my 436hp a few days ago and have not stopped reading, scanning, creating Fav lists and just trying to learn all the features this scanner has.
Thank you for your work on this program.
I'm new to the BCD536HP scanner and do not know how to implement this seemingly cool enhancement. Could you please provide a step-by-step instruction on how to set this up on the computer and then connect to a BCDx36HP scanner? I'm not a programmer per se and don't know where to begin or what to do next. I apologize if this is a dumb question or as a Systems Engineer that I should know how to do this. I've been retired 10 years now with a terminal illness that is affecting my memory among other things. Thanks in advance!

Assuming you have connected your 536 to your computer... Turn your radio off, then on while connected to the PC. Select serial port mode on the radio. You should hear the PC make the USB device connection noise. Goto Device Manager & open the com ports section about 3/4 of the way down the list. You should see an entry for Uniden port. Remember the port #. Download the application. Run the app. In the bottom left corner pick the port # your Uniden is on - ex. COM 3. Then below that select the model. You should be able to figure it out from there. If not, come back & seek further help.
This is terrific! THANK YOU... is it possible you could link to the latest versions of the Windows and Mac versions on the first post? THe thread is so long it is hard to track down the posts with the various versions
Excellent!!! How about adding some control for the HP-1?
It can be done, ARC Soft has virtual control.
Add a resume button and I will pay for it. Plenty of people would.
