One more quick question, if you scanning and it stops on a channel and you want to scan instead of waiting for the Communication to stop, with no scan button how do you make it scan without waiting.

I’m enjoying listening to the sds200, I have a question. Looking at the screen, top left hand corner is a white rectangle box, I haven’t noticed it before or it didn’t catch my attention.

Can anyone tell me what it’s for and does it stay on all the time?

That is the Function indicator. It shows how long it is active after pressing the scroll knob. You can edit the custom screen so that it is visible only when you press the knob. Set text color to black and back color to white.
